VIETNAM PP CaCO3 FILLER MASTERBATCH -HIGHEST QUALITY FROM MASKA GLOBAL

Calcium Carbonate Filler Masterbatch is widely used in plastics industry which is compounded from grounded CaCO3 with polymer resins and other dispersion additives. A wide variety of fillers are currently used in more than twenty types of polymer resins, although four of them alone (polypropylene, polyamides, thermoplastic polyesters, and polyvinyl chloride) account for 90% of the market of mineral fillers in plastics. Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene and PVC dominate the market for Calcium Carbonate. As the largely inactive, low-cost , Calcium Carbonate Filler Masterbatch yields a reduction in the cost of the finished formulation without dramatic changes in properties. , Calcium Carbonate Filler Masterbatch have been used since the early days of plastics, and the dramatic growth of the polymer industry would not have been possible without the advantageous properties Calcium Carbonate Filler Masterbatch impart to polymers. Needless to say, current the global plastic and automobile industry cannot survive without Calcium Carbonate Filler Masterbatch, additives, and reinforcements.

Today, we will find out 1 type of Popular CaCO3 Filler Masterbatch: PP Filler Masterbatch

I. What is PP Filler Masterbatch ?

PP Filler Masterbatch is composed of Vietnamese high-quality Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) powder, Polypropylene (PP) resin and other special additives. Nowadays, PP Filler Masterbatch has become an indispensable material in the plastic industry, thanks to its function in reducing the price and many other properties. Our MASKA GLOBAL Calcium Carbonate Filler Masterbatch Based PP is strictly controlled by modern systems and certified by the most popular quality management standards including Iso 9001:2015, 5S…

II. Why should we use PP Filler Masterbatch in manufacturing?

1. Cost-effectiveness

The use of PP Filler Masterbatch has significantly reduced production cost thanks to the powerful material named CaCO3 powder, whose price is relatively lower compared with that of plastic resin. Especially, in our country Vietnam, CaCO3 ore can be found very much at the northern. This leads to our advantage at CaCO3 price, compares to PP Filler Masterbatch from other manufacturing country like India, China, … therefore the cost of final PP Filler Masterbatch will be ultimately save.

2. Properties enhancement

With the main ingredient is Calcium Carbonate, PP Filler Masterbatch provides some special traits for final products. First it can help improve various physical and mechanical properties of final products. (e.g increase the force-resistance of drum, or increase elongation of woven sack made from , PP Filler Masterbatch, etc… )

Another advantage of PP Filler Masterbatch is increase the whiteness of final products, as taken from the milky of ingredient Calcium Carbonate. It really helpful for reducing the dosage of white color in final products, therefore the total cost will be significantly reduced. Specially, CaCO3 powder from Vietnam is recognized as brighter and whiter than from other countries. So this is also our advantage of , PP Filler Masterbatch.

About technical and production machinery, PP Filler Masterbatch not only helps increase productivity of extrusion machine, but also plays an important role in cooling  the mold faster, which helps reduce the cycle time. And this is also a keypoint in economic efficiency.

III. Vietnam PP Filler Masterbatch – Most common PP Filler Masterbatch’s applications in the plastic industry

1. PP Filler Masterbatch for raffia application

  • PP Woven bag is made from woven polypropylene, mostly milky white or crystal-clear. Nowadays, with the development of modern technology, PP woven bags are designed with more designs and colors, bringing many benefits to people’s lives.
  • Usage:
    • Contain agricultural seeds, like rice, wheat and corn, etc…
    • Food packaging
    • Contain construction materials like cement, sand and flour.
    • ….

2. PP Filler Masterbatch for non-woven application

  • PP non-woven is a fabric that is not woven with traditional weft & warp threads. It is made by putting PP granules and PP Filler Masterbatch into the bath, and heated at standard temperature, the plastic granules will be spun into yarn. Then it will be pressed on the conveyor belt and through the cooling process to produce the finished product which is non-woven fabric.

  • Usage:
    • In the field of agriculture, non-woven fabrics are used to prevent insects, help protect plants from pests and diseases, retain moisture to help seeds germinate faster, etc. Because the product is very light, it is easy to use in the cultivation process work without wasting time and effort.
    • In the medical field, non-woven fabrics are preferred for use in large quantities. Among the garments that use this fabric in hospitals are surgical gowns, isolation gowns for doctors. Or more commonly, the masks we use every day.
    • In the garment industry, with the characteristics of toughness and good printing ability, non-woven bags are more and more favored in the field of garment products, the most popular are non-woven bags. Non-woven bags are used as gift bags, promotional bags for companies, events.

3. PP Filler Masterbatch for blow molding – extrusion molding and injection molding application

  • Blow molding is the forming of a hollow object by inflating or blowing a thermoplastic molten tube called a “parison” in the shape of a mold cavity. The process consists of extruding or “dropping” a parison on which female mold halves are closed. The female mold halves contain the shape of the product to be produced. The bottom opening of the parison is pinched shut by the closing female mold halves. A pressurized gas, normally air, is introduced into the parison blowing the heated parison out against the cavity walls to form the product. The materials used are PP resin, , PP Filler Masterbatch, color masterbatch and additives.
  • Depending on the type of product (depending on the type of plastic processing material), there are two blowing methods: extrusion molding and injection molding.
    • Extrusion molding involves extruding a pipe of a predetermined length held in place by a split die at the ends. The compartment is sealed at one end while the other end is attached to the air supply. Compressed air is blown in to inflate. Molds are typically cold, cooling the inflated molten plastic as it comes into contact with the mold surface. When the size of the product is stable, the mold is opened to eject the product.
    • Injection molding: This method works with the same principles as that of extrusion molding. The main difference is the use of a prefabricated die with a metal bar enclosed in the middle. The typical mounting of these metal rods is a turntable with three sections, each of which corresponds to one phase of the blow molding cycle.
  • Usage: Produce many types of empty bottle, cans, boxes, and other household appliances which are widely used in daily life.

4. PP Filler Masterbatch for laminations

  • Lamination is using a laminating machine to press a very thin layer of plastic film (usually BOPP film) to the surface of the printed document thanks to a layer of glue for the purpose of creating a beautiful shine, waterproofing, protecting the printed surface from scratched.
  • Usage:
    • Lamination on labels, book covers, magazines, etc..
    • Soft food packaging for instant noodles, confectionery, coffee.
    • Sealing tape
